Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from home airfield for night bombing exercise. Aircraft was carrying 6 sand filled 250lb practice bombs. At approx 0340hrs the aircraft stalled and dived almost vertically into the ground. Crashing between the airfields of Pershore and Defford, Worcestershire. Cause of the accident was attributed to propeller and reduction gear, shearing from one of the engines. |
