Miscellaneous Information
The community in Reithoven, The Netherlands, has established a memorial at the crash site recognising the crew of LM592. This memorial was dedicated on 22 June 2019, 75 years after the event. A community event for the unveiling was held at Reithoven, attended by relatives of some of the airmen, including relatives of Louis McCoy, and formalised by representatives of the Netherlands and UK governments. About 200 local persons also attended and organisers indicated memorial visits would be part of future annual 4 May Remembrance Day community events. |
