Miscellaneous Information
| Note that although his surname was correctly spelt on his original gravestone (as Butchart), it was replaced in the 1970s and the replacement was inexplicably spelt incorrectly. IBCC made CWGC aware of this error in August 2022 in response to an enquiry by a family member and the error has now been corrected on the CWGC website and a new headstone commissioned. He correctly appears on the IBCC memorial walls as Butchart. |
