Miscellaneous Information
Harry was born in London in 1920. Because Otilia was British/Peruvian they returned to Arequipa, Peru when Robert Harry was 6 after Otilia was widowed, and Robert Harry was raised in Peru. Harry (as he was known to his family) studied at an Engish boys school in Chile and after leaving worked at a bank in Arequipa, Preu. He enlisted at the British embassy in Lima, Peru and travelled back to England from Latin America (Port of Buenos Aires ship Desiderade). |
