Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Church Broughton at 1812 hrs for a night cross country exercise on completion returned to base at 2300 hrs and circled the airfield in readiness to land. At 2302 hrs , however, the Wellington went into a flat spin and crashed 4 miles to the NE of the airfield with no survivors. |
