Reason for Loss | Took a direct by flak as he was flying over Dömitz bridge. Successfully baled out but the other pilots observed that several panels of his parachute were damaged by fire. A soldier who was taken PoW nearby around the same time reported after the ending of hostilities that he was taken away injured by the Germans, yet his body was never found. |
