Reason for Loss | Aircraft crashed in foggy conditions at Aldwark, about one mile west of Linton-on-Ouse, North Yorkshire. Two airmen were killed in the crash and Frank Noyes lost a leg but died some four months later while undergoing an operation to fit an artificial leg. He had married just before going into hospital. |
