| Reason for Aircraft Loss | Killed while on leave during the 'Norwich Blitz' along with his wife and mother-in-law. Their cottage in St John Street, Norwich took a direct hit from 50 kg HE bomb, one of 18 dropped across the city near the Cathedral at 1800 hours. Six killed, five injured. |
