Miscellaneous Information
Initially taken PoW but was repatriated due to his injuries on 6 April 1944. He died at RAF Hospital, Weeton, Lancashire on 21 March 1945 of a cerebral abscess with meningitis. His funeral took place at Christ Church, Gravesend on Monday 26 March 1945. His death was directly attributed to the injuries sustained during the crash. |
On leaving school he worked as a plumber and just before the war was employed by the local Gravesend building firm W J Holland as a plumber and electrician. |
