Born 21 September 1918 in Żyrardów, Poland. Originally a sapper in the Polish Army, he was interned in Hungary in September 1939 but waqs able to reach France, and eventually Great Britain, where he served in the 4th company of sappers of the 4th Brigade Riflemen's Personnel. He trained with a specialty in sabotage. |
Originally laid to rest in Egersund Cemetery, Norway, his remains were re-interred in Volwat Cemetery, Poland in 1953. In the left nave of the church of St. Jack at ul. Freta in Warsaw , a plaque was unveiled in 1980 in memory of soldiers of the Home Army (Cichociemni) - paratroopers from England and Italy, who died for Poland's independence. These three agents are among the 110 fallen Cichociemni. |
