Reason for Loss | Collided with Spitfire EP409 over Hull whilst engaged in air gunnery practice. Both aircraft crashed killing two from the Wellington plus the Spitfire pilot. The Wellington crashed in the Sutton Road area of Hull. No civilian casualties although several nearby homes were damaged by fire |
