Miscellaneous Information
William was born at Beaver Harbour, St George, Charlotte County, New Brunswick. His father was born at Beaver Harbour and his mother at Back Bay, Charlotte County. He attended St. George High School where he attained grades 8-11. The sports he took part in were baseball, football and hockey. William worked as a Bell-Hop for a J.B Corkey of Fredericton, N.B. for nine months between July 1939-April 1940. |
He enlisted on 12 November 1940 at Moncton and embarked for the U.K. on 13 March 1942. He arrived at 3PRC on 24 March 1942, 7 AGS. 30 May 1942, 20 OTU 30 June 1942, 1657 CU. 2 October 1942, 149 Squadron 27 October 1942. William sadly lost his life the following month on 30 November 1942. |
