Miscellaneous Information
Keith was born on 7 June 1921 at Woodrow, Saskatchewan. His father was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, England as was his mother. His father an elevator agent. He had two brothers Wilbert and Walter and also two sisters Hetty and Elsie. The schools he attended were Assiniboia Public , 1927-1934, 1935 Woodrow Public 1934-1935 and Woodrow High school 1935- 1939. The sports he took part in were hockey, skating, tennis and baseball and he enjoyed shooting and hunting. His hobbies were model aircraft and motor mechanics. During August 1939 he worked for his father as an elevator assistant in Orkney, Saskatchewan. Between November and December he worked as a truck driver but the the roads became impassable due to the weather. He then worked a few months in 1940 as a filling station attendant in Prince Albert but was laid off at the end of the season, finishing off at Modern Motors where he was a Service Station employee during 1941 until enlisting on 27 May 1941. |
After training Keith was posted to the U.K. and he arrived at 3PRC on 10 February 1942. He was next shown as being at 14 (P) AFU on 14 April 1942, 19 OTU 16 June 1942, 50 Con Flight 3 September 1942 and 76 squadron on 26 September 1942. Keith is then shown as missing on 5 October 1942. |

Bad weather also encountered in Germany and little PFF marking had taken place. Moderate damage including a hospital and two churches. PFF marked the neighbouring town of Lutterade by mistake and much of the bombing fell there in error. |
