William was educated at Fairfield S.S. No. 2, Ontario and Waterdown E.F. High school, Ontario. He had worked in the poultry business in Hamilton for a while and then as a Line Setter. He was unemployed at the time of enlistment. |
He listed basketball, baseball, rugby, hunting, fishing, track and field swimming and hockey as sports and interests. |
