Reason for Loss | Hit by heavy Flak on bombing run, Mid Under Gunner seriously wounded. Pilot decided to make an emergency landing at Brussels airfield, which was safely executed. Flak was reported to be intense and accurate mainly from Castrop Rouxel area. F/O Parker died of his injuries in hospital approx an hour after landing. |
