Reason for Loss | Chelmsford Chronicle, 11 August 1944: a verdict of accidental death was recorded after he died of a fractured skull received while cycling. It was reported that he was riding down Rifle Hill, Braintree when at the junction of Notley Road he was in collision with a motor van which was on the correct side of the road. No blame was attached to the van driver. |
