Miscellaneous Information
Parker was born at Trout Creek , Ontario on 12 August 1924. His father worked as a Storekeeper and was born at Brampton, Ontario. He had two sisters Frieda and Rose and four brothers: Victor, Keith, Harry who was in the Canadian Army and William who was serving with the RCAF. The schools he attended were in Trout Creek. He was at the Public School between 1934 and 1938 followed by 1938- 1941 (Matric). Hockey and softball were his two main sports. Parker worked in a Trout Creek General Store as a clerk between 1941 and 1943 when he then enlisted on 30 August 1943 at North Bay. |
After training he Embarked from Halifax on 25 May 1944 bound for the U.K. and reached 3PRC on 3 June 1944. He was then at 24 OTU 27 June 1944, 61 Base 18 October 1944, and 415 Squadron 27 December 1944. Sadly this young man was to lose his life on 16 January 1945. |
