Miscellaneous Information
Born 1 June 1918, Cyril had four siblings, two brothers and two sisters. He spent ten years at the public School studying general subjects and then went on to Oxford High between 1933-1936. Before enlisting on 8 July 1939, Cyril had worked four years as a farmer in the Farming and Lumbering industry. |
He received his Air Gunners badge on 6 July 1942. He embarked for the UK on 7 August 1942 then went to, 3 PRC 19 August 1942, 7 AGS 23 September 1942, then 1659 Conversion Unit and eventually, 405 Squadron on 25 December 1942. |
Cyril played baseball on the school team and hockey occasionally. |
