Reason for Loss | Message received from Flying Control at 19:00 that Sgt Marnock was ill and an ambulance was required. On arrival at station sick quarters it was found that he was already dead. The post mortem (carried out at RAF Hospital, Rauceby) showed that he had died as a result of asphyxiation due to having vomited into his face mask. |
