| Harry was born on 21 June 1917 in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. His father worked as a Stationary engineer and was born in Thorburn, Nova Scotia and his mother in Seal Harbour. He attended the Old High School, New Glasgow, 1922-1927 (grades 1-5) followed by Trenton High School 1927-1932 (grades 5-9). His hobby was photography, printing and developing and for sport he enjoyed skating, swimming and bowling. Harry was unemployed between 1932 and 1935, then worked for Eastern Car Company in Trenton as a Press operator 1935 onwards. |
| He enlisted 18 November 1940 and after training embarked from Canada on 24 August 1941. Arriving at 3PRC on 2 September 1941 he then went to 22OTU. 25 November 1941, and 419 Squadron 23 May 1942. Harry sadly lost his life the following month on 17 June 1942 |
