A native of Coventry, Frederick was born on 30 April 1920 at Coventry and resided at 46, George Eliot Road. He was employed at British Thompson Houston Ltd. and enlisted in the Volunteer Reserve in September, 1938. Frederick was educated at the Technical College and member of 7th Coventry Scout Group. On 9 September 1939 he attended the funeral of Cyril Ernest Gower, Spitfire pilot who died in a crash, with Frederick being the RAF representative. |
