Miscellaneous Information
Born on 28 September 1922 in Windsor, Ontario. Both of his parents were born in McGregor, Ontario. His father died in 1933. His father died in 1933.. Stanley had three sisters, Loretta, Rita and Stella and they all lived at 1119 Marentette Avenue in Windsor, Ontario. The schools he attended were St. Angela School 1929-1935, and Assumption College High School, 1935-1938. He had Junior Matriculation in English and French composition, Chemistry, Algebra, and Geometry. Stanley had worked as a Clerk for Rhon and Spearin a grocery store 1939-1940 and then as a Welder for Motor Products Corp. in Windsor, 1940-1942. |
He enlisted on 24 August 1942 and after training embarked from Halifax on 22 October 1943 for the U.K.. he arrived at 3 PRC(RCAF) on 31 October 1943, 6 (O) AFU 14 December 1943, 3PRC 1 Feb 1944, 24 OTU 7 March 1944, 61 Base 1 June 1944 and finally 427 Squadron on 12 July 1944. He died five weeks later. |
He enjoyed playing Baseball, Soft ball and Hockey. |
