| Reason for Aircraft Loss | An engine caught fire during the sortie and an emergency call was made. Crash landed at Colerne but careered off the runway and crashed into a parked 409 Squadron Beaufighter (MM882) and a 488 Squadron Mosquito (MT456), wrecking both. Came to rest amongst some huts near one of the dispersals. |
