Miscellaneous Information
After initial training he embarked from Canada on 20 March 1942 and reached 434 Squadron on 11 September 1944. Sadly Aaron was to lose his life on 16 January 1945. |

Reason for Loss | Aaron was born at Hilliard, Alberta on 25 August 1922. His father was born at Tripp in South Dakota, USA and worked as a truck operator/ farmer and his mother was born at Bruderheim, Alberta. He had brothers Ted, Adolph and Albert, and a sister Clara. The schools he attended were Hilliard school 1928-1937 followed by both Hilliard and Chipman schools 1930-1940. The sports Aaron participated in were, tennis, hockey, softball , table tennis and baseball and he built model aircraft. He worked for his father William, at Peer, Alberta during 1940-1941 where he was trucking in a lumber camp. Aaron enlisted on 23 May 1941. |
