Miscellaneous Information
The date of death is probably incorrect- this is in fact the date on which their death was reported. Date of crash: 29/6/44 |
Donald was born in Winnipeg in 1924, the youngest child of Thomas Cameron Jamieson and Diana Christina née Johnstone, both of whom had emigrated to Canada in the early years of the 20th century from a small village, Tullibody in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. The Jamieson family goes back several generations in that village. Their first child was a daughter Jessie, then came William, then quite a few years later, Thomas Jr and finally Donald. On the 1921 census the family is living in East Kildonan district. |
