End Date | 02-03-1944 |
Takeoff Station | Warboys |
Day/Night Raid | Night (52% moon) |
Operation | Stuttgart. 557 aircraft, 4 losses (0.7%)- due mainly to the cloudy conditions preventing the night-fighters infiltrating the bomber stream. Several important industrial buildings were hit including the Bosch and Daimler-Benz works. Many other buildings damaged in recent raids were completely razed. 125 deaths and 510 injuries on the ground. |
Reason for Loss | Shot down by a night-fighter and crashed at Hausen en Killertal, Germany |
