Reason for Loss | All of the crew except the pilot and both air gunners bailed out over the target area- Sgt Ford and Sgt Floyd (the Flight Engineer and Air Bomber respectively) did not survive. It would appear that the pilot regained control since the aircraft made a safe return to Downham Market with just three crew members aboard. |
