Born 1891 in Kentish Town, London. In the 1911 census, aged 19, he is listed as being a clerk at a wallpaper manufacturer. It is not yet clear why he travelled to Egypt. He married Rose Gahel in 1922, aged 31. Their first child was born in Egypt in 1923 but died. Their second child (John) was born in Egypt on 1925. The family moved back to UK in 1929 and third child, a son named Ambrose, was born in Aylesbury. As a family, they lived at RAF Halton |
