| Reason for Aircraft Loss | Brought down at Am-Falkenburg- Hamburg due to anti-aircraft fire. The police report states: "Shot down over Neuenfelde. Then landed in glide south of the Falkenberg, west of the Neugraben barracks. The impact was so violent that the fuel tanks exploded and the aircraft caught fire. The crew burned to death in the wreckage. Five explosive bombs were defused". The dead airmen were first buried in the Fischbek cemetery, later transferred to Ohlsdorf. |
