| Operation | Berlin. 379 aircraft, 16 Lancasters Lost (4.2%). Fewer night-fighters were encountered than in recent raids on Berlin, partly due to a successful diversionary raid by Mosquitoes on Leipzig. The target was cloud covered and more than half of the initial wave of PFF aircraft had difficulties with their H2S sets and a result, marking was scattered. The south-eastern suburbs sustained light damage only. |
