Reason for Loss | Hit by flak in the front of the aircraft while north of Neuss. The bomb aimer, P/O William Domaille was killed in this attack. The aircraft and the remainder of the crew were able to return safely to England, although there is some doubt as to the landing station since P/O Domaille's death was registered at Linton on Ouse, suggesting that this may be where they landed. |
