Reason for Loss | Starboard inner engine lost power and an emergency landing was attempted at Wratting Common. Tragically, the aircraft ploughed into a Stirling which had burst a tyre on landing and was awaiting being removed from the runway. Both aircraft caught light and the bodies of the two airmen were not found until the fire had been extinguished |
