His wife Joan was a Flight Mechanic in the W.A.A.F. at the time of their marriage. Also in the wedding photograph is 207082 Beatrice Mary Corder (1925-2006), then serving in the A.T.S., who was Joan's first cousin. She was the bridesmaid, but with travelling difficulties and delays in London during war time she did not have time to change and had to remain in uniform. |
