| Birth registered 4th Quarter 1916 in Leeds. His father William passed away before Denis was born and his mother Drusilla married for a second time in 1919. Denis was the youngest of four siblings: Irene Beatrice (born 1906), Wilfred (1909) and Maud (1912). |
