Chargé d'attaquer des cibles dans le nord de la France, le Blenheim IV N3592 BL-C de l'escadrille no 40 a quitté la base aérienne royale de Wyton, Angleterre, à 13h45 14/6/1940. En essayant d'accomplir la mission, l'avion a été attaqué par le Hauptmann Adolf Galland en Messerschmidt 109 111/JG26 et s'est écrasé à 15h15 à Fresney, France
