Reason for Loss | Crashed onto high ground near Holme-on-the-Wolds, Yorkshire on their return in poor weather, after being diverted to Driffield. The air gunner was found still in his turret, dazed but otherwise relatively unscathed. In 1999, air historians located fragments of this aircraft in the identified location which positively identified it as LW364. |
