Miscellaneous Information
Logan was born at North Greenville, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia on 29 April 1916. His father was born at Berry’s Mills, New Brunswick and his mother(deceased by the time of Logan's enlistment) was born at Waugh River, Nova Scotia. He had one brother, Emerson. Logan attended the school at Westchester Station, Nova Scotia 1922-1932 and again between 1932-1935. He was a Boy Scout for two years and enjoyed playing baseball and hockey. Logan worked for Mattatall Brothers as a labourer in the Mill between 1936-1940 and then as a labourer for Canadian National Railways until he enlisted on 23 August 1940. |
After enlisting and early training he was posted to the U.K. and arrived at 3PRC on 7 June 1941, then sent to 20 OTU 14 June 1941 and 57 Squadron on 18 August 1941. Sadly, two months later Logan was to lose his life on 26 October 1941, from 57 Squadron. |
