Horace was born on 13 November 1922 in Montreal. His father was born in London, England and his mother in Montreal - his father’s occupation was shown as a Manufacturer and Salesman. His schooling was at Wellington School and Herbert Symonds 1929-1936 and then West Hill High 1936-1940. He was a member of the Young Man’s Hebrew Association. |
Horace enlisted on 29 April 1941 and after training he embarked for the U.K.. He arrived at 3 PRC on 29 March 1942, then 3 AOS on 25 April 1942, 22 OTU 26 May 1942 and 7 Sqn, on 14 August 1942 and after 75 Squadron on 17 August. He was killed just twelve days later. |
Horace enjoyed numerous sports including Baseball, Swimming, Basketball, Tennis and Skiing and his hobbies were photography and stamp collecting. |
