Reason for Loss | Landed downwind, short of fuel, and overshot the runway on return from ops, ending up in a ditch. The crew were all safe but in veering off, the undercarriage of the aircraft struck a tent, killing the three occupants. Tragically, most of the crew of the aircraft were killed in another operation only eight days later. |
