Reason for Loss | Shot down by a Bf 110 night-fighter (possibly Sergeant Günter Liersch of 11./NJG 6, who was himself killed a few days later) and crashed onto a wooded hillside at Am Dreisberg, Mornshausen, Gladenbach. The crew were initially buried in an isolated grave at Mornshausen and reinterred 16 June 1947. |
