Born 29 July 1917 Linton, Cambridgeshire. Francis had been an undertaker and was then a builder. He did his Pilot training at Embry & Riddle Company at Arcadia, Florida. He arrived in Detroit from Montreal on 23 July 1941. |
This was the crew's tenth operation and ED703's second. All were buried with full military honours in Fürstenfeldbruck Cemetery on 13 March and the German authorities provided the photograph of the ceremony via the International Red Cross for the benefit of the crew's families. They were re-interred after the war in Durnbach. |
