In de nacht van 13 op 14 september 1942 stortte een Lancaster- bommenwerper van de britse Royal Air Force brandend neer in het weiland achter dit gedenkteken. de 7-koppige bemanning kwam daarbis om het leven.
Translation "On the night of 13/14 September 1942, Lancaster W4108 of 1654 HCU RAF was shot down by a German nightfighter and the 7 man crew were killed." |
