Miscellaneous Information
Aubrey was born on 30 August 1914 at Toronto. Both parents were born in England and his father, deceased, worked as a baker. He has no siblings. He attended Givens Street Public School between 1920- 1927 followed by Central Technical School 1927-1929 (machine shop). He enjoyed skating, swimming and billiards and his hobby was light opera, singing in the choir and dramatics. Aubrey worked as a Stock-keeper and Salesman for T. Eaton Co. Ltd from 1929 until enlisting. |
He enlisted on 11 March 1941 and after initial training was sent to the U.K. where he arrived at 3PRC on 21 June 1942. He then continued to 20 OTU on 13 July 1942 and then 12 Squadron on 5 October 1942. Later that month, 25 October 1942, Aubrey very sadly lost his life. |
