Born 7 June 1922 in Chemnitz, Germany. Came with his younger brother and parents to England in 1933. His 2 older brothers followed in 1938 after Kristallnacht. He attended Enfield Grammar school, technical college and then attested in 1940. There is a Stolperstein (literally- a stumbling block) outside his old house at Hoffmannstrausse 58, Chemnitz. |
