Miscellaneous Information
Born 19 September 1921, Cape Town. His parents married on 12 January 1914 in Swaziland, South Africa. Nicholas attended Plum Tree School, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), entering Gaul House in January 1935, passed his Cambridge certificate December 1939. He started farming in the Banket District of the Province of Masholand West, Zimbabwe. Enlisted in the RAF in September 1940, he carried out his provisional training in South Africa, arriving in the UK in June 1941. |
