Miscellaneous Information
Born 14 May 1910, Brentford. The family were Jewish and in it is believed in 1914 they changed their family name from Rosenbaum to Rowson. Geoffrey had been a pupil at St Pauls School, London, he had been a prefect in class 5B. In 1927 he was the British boy's chess champion. Geoffrey and Elfie had a son in 1935. In 1939 they are found living in Arno Vale Road, Arnold, Notts. He was a travelling chartered accountant carrying out audits. In 1962 Elfie was living with her son in Winchester Court, Kensington. |
