Miscellaneous Information
Known to his family and friends as Sonny |
His family recall the yound men in khaki uniforms and on bicycles whose job it was to hand-deliver telegrams throughout the Toronto area. Whenever the cyclists were seen on the streets of the city, telephones rang from neighbour to neighbour signalling bad news was on the way. By the time the telegram arrived at the family home on Merton Street his mother had already guessed that he was dead. |
