His brothers Alex and Jack as well as father John served with the Canadian Forces in Europe during World War II. Unfortunately, Jim was killed in August 26, 1944 and did not return to Montreal and his mother Margaret and sisters Ella, Betty and Jess. |
There is a plaque bearing his name in Prestwood Bucks near Liverpool and his name is in the Book of Remembrance in the Peace Tower in Ottawa, Canada. |
