Reason for Loss | Aircraft took off from Spilsby at 2126 tasked to lay mines in the Baltic. Presumed lost over the North Sea. On the 13th April both the Air Gunners were washed up at Blavand and were laid to rest two days later in Esbjerg Cemetery. The body of the pilot came ashore on the 13th August near Houvig. Possibly shot down by Night fighter Obit Friedrich Berger of 2./NJG3 over the sea off Skallingen at 0430 hrs |
