Reason for Loss | Last heard on W/T advising that the port engine had failed, after which it is believed the Wellington crashed at Oude Pekela (Groningen), 9 km E of Veendam, Holland. The two airmen killed are buried in Esserveld General Cemetery. It is also reported that the Wellington had been Flak damaged over Emden. |
